Ruberoid Building Products’ structural waterproofing system, Hyload, has been used on the RIBA award-winning Accordia housing development in Cambridge. Hyload products were ideal for the £60 million project thanks to the high performance and longevity of the range. The development picked up the RIBA Stirling Award in Liverpool on 11th October and it is the first housing scheme to win such an honour. It includes homes for private sale and some available under shared-equity schemes.

Contractors, builders merchants, installers and product manufacturers are being urged to join a national campaign to help refurbish community buildings. More than 20 projects have been carried out since the Fix That Hut campaign was launched in 2006. The organisers now want new partners to come onboard so that even more community buildings can be helped. The campaign was started by Ruberoid Building Products in 2006 during its Centenary Year as a goodwill gesture to offer free roofing and waterproofing materials to community buildings in need of repair or renovation.

York College is the biggest university of its kind in the country and over £60 million has been invested in this recently completed project.
